When we found out that Rutgers University’s star basketball player Clifford “Big Cliff” Omoruyi is a big fan of 16 Handles, we knew we had to head to our Rutgers shop to build his signature sundae together.

Haven’t heard of Big Cliff? Get to know his name. The NCAA athlete is a Junior playing for the Scarlet Knights. Cliff entered the NCAA Tournament last season leading the country in dunks, and he was selected to the 2022-23 All-Big Ten Preseason Team.

How does the #1 dunk artist in college basketball handle it at NYC’s #1 soft serve shop? As a regular at our Rutgers shop, Cliff has found his favorite flavors and toppings. Watch as he builds his signature sundae, including Strawberry Ice Cream, Cookies and Cream fro-you, and Coconut Macaroon Brownie Bites. Like any good sundae, the finishing touch is a Maraschino Cherry on top. We call that a slam dunk.

When he’s not on the court or in the classroom, Cliff also volunteers at The Salvation Army Newark’s “Books and Basketball” program. 16 Handles is proud to make a $2,000 donation to the program as part of our partnership with Cliff.
